The World Bank is part of the specialized agencies of the United Nations (UN) system.
From Washington, it publishes an annual contribution on a development theme in its World Development Report.

The main objectives of the World Bank are:

• •   economic growth;
• •   poverty reduction;
• •   creation of very small businesses;
• •   financing for access to drinking water, education and sustainable development;
• •   environmental protection,
• •   social development.

The “Doing Business” project measures business regulation and its effective application in 189 national economies and some cities at regional level.

Since 2012, Espace Transit has actively contributed to the preparation of this report by having been appointed consultant in Morocco for this institution for the logistical part of its study. The World Bank ended this project in 2021.
